At Oakbrook Orthodontics we’re dedicated to providing beautiful smiles, and we always offer our patients a variety of treatment options. We realize that every patient is different and what is best for one, may not be the appropriate treatment option for another patient.
We always want to ensure that each of our patients has the information needed to select the best possible treatment for their dental health and care. Hopefully, the following summary will help our patients in La Grange choose the braces that are right for them.
Types of Braces We Offer
Modern dental technology provides patients needing braces with a wide variety of treatment options, including the following treatment options available at Oakbrook Orthodontics.
Traditional Metal Braces
Metal braces are the most common type and have been in use for decades. Millions of people have had their teeth straightened with traditional braces that use a combination of metal brackets, wires, and rubber bands to achieve the desired result.
Metal braces are typically the most affordable orthodontic treatment option, but costs can vary depending on a patient’s needs.
Clear Ceramic Braces
Because of their discreet appearance, this option has become increasingly popular in recent years. These are made with a ceramic material for a more subtle appearance that blends with your teeth.
However, because they’re made of ceramics, they require a little more care than traditional metal braces and are generally recommended for older teens and adults.
Lightforce™ Braces
This technologically advanced option uses 3D printing to customize each patient’s braces. The orthodontist uses a special scanner to capture the current position of the teeth, and the Lightforce™ facility uses this scan to prepare customized braces for the patient.
With this option, there is no need to make impressions of your teeth, and treatment appointments tend to be shorter.
Invisalign™ Clear Aligners
Invisalign treatment uses clear, transparent, removable trays that are changed at regular intervals, about every two weeks as the teeth move into their new positions. One of the great advantages of this option is that you can remove the trays while eating and drinking, freeing you from any dietary restrictions. However, the trays should be worn for at least 22 hours every day.
Spark™ Clear Aligners
These aligners are made from a thin, clear material, making them a very comfortable alignment option. They can also be removed while eating and drinking, but like other options, should be worn at least 22 hours a day.
The Oakbrook Orthodontics Team – Your Choice for La Grange Braces
Each of these treatment options offers a unique solution to alignment problems, and as we have said, orthodontic care that works for one patient may not be the best choice for another. Also, we never want financial considerations to get in the way of the treatment you need, so we accept most dental insurance plans and we’re happy to offer a variety of payment options to our patients.
At our La Grange orthodontist office, we would be glad to discuss each of our treatment options with you. If you have any kind of alignment issues, we encourage you to call our office – or if you prefer, reach out to us online – to schedule your initial free consultation appointment today.
